Wild Dunes Resort - a Destination by Hyatt set on Isle of Palms, South Carolina, proudly announces the completed transformation of its iconic Tom Fazio-designed Harbor Course. With a $9.5 million investment in strategic golf-course-design enhancements and sustainable infrastructure, the project, which began in March 2025, will be complete in late October.

The Harbor Course has been a centerpiece of the Wild Dunes 36-hole golfing experience for more than four decades. The Fazio Design team, Heritage Links Golf Course Construction, and the Wild Dunes Resort Golf Course Agronomy team collaborated to rebuild and expand all 18 greens to improve the playability, variety, and unique challenge of each golf hole. Several of the course's bunkers have been reshaped and moved to accommodate modern driving distances and playing areas have been expanded on multiple holes to enhance shot values and strategy.

All of the Harbor Course's tee boxes have been rebuilt, leveled and, in some cases, expanded while the irrigation system has been replaced to help optimize turf conditions and water usage. Holes nearest the intercoastal waterway that runs alongside the course were raised several feet to curb flood risk and multiple golf cart bridges have also been restored.

"We're thrilled about the enhancements to the Harbor Course which have elevated the overall experience for our players," says Director of Golf, Jeff Minton. "When the Harbor Course reopens in late October, golfers can look forward to newly designed putting surfaces that will challenge their skills, smoother upgraded golf cart paths, and strategically placed bunkers thoughtfully integrated into the existing hole designs. When you factor in the 2015 renovation of our Links Course (Tom Fazio's first solo golf course design and, to this day, his only seaside design), Wild Dunes Resort is now a must-play 36-hole coastal golf destination. This was the first property to bring top-tier resort golf to the Charleston area in 1980, now a whole new generation of golfers is about to fall in love with this captivating golf vacation experience."

NOVEMBER MARKS A NEW ERA FOR THE HARBOR COURSE Wild Dunes leadership, golf and hospitality staffs will host a grand reopening event at the Harbor Course on November 13, with tee times resuming for the renovated par-70 layout on October 26, 2025.

This project reflects the ongoing commitment of Wild Dunes Resort and its ownership partners, Lowe and Dart Interests, to continuously enhance the famed oceanfront property. By elevating its amenities, member and guest experiences, the resort reaffirms its commitment to delivering an exceptional destination for both visitors and the local community.

"We cannot wait for golfers to experience the improved character of the Harbor Course with the expanded and redesigned putting surfaces and a golf course that fits the land beautifully while presenting a playable, approachable design that can test golfers of every skill level in fun and intriguing ways," said Fazio Design Associate Bryan Bowers. "Wild Dunes is meaningful because it represents the early era of Tom Fazio's design career and stands the test of time with an enduring and quintessential Lowcountry golf experience."

A REVITALIZED, EVER-IMPROVING COASTAL DESTINATION Recognized as one of the top 10 resorts in the South by Conde Nast Traveler, the resort and its partners have invested more than $150 million in property renovations since 2021. These investments include the debut of The Sweetgrass Inn, a stunning 153-room hotel featuring a 10,000-square-foot state-of-the-art spa, 30,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a 3,000-square-foot rooftop bar, and sprawling pool deck. Wild Dunes Resort expanded its sports offerings earlier in 2025 with the addition of two new tennis courts and six pickleball courts, catering to the growing demand and popularity of the sport.

Bloom Golf Management is proud to announce the acquisition of Cedar Creek Golf Club, a beloved Arthur Hills-designed course located in the heart of Aiken, South Carolina. The purchase was made possible through a successful capital raise driven by an exclusive investment offering.

The capital secured through this initiative is being strategically deployed not only to complete the purchase of the club but also to fund a series of significant capital improvements-many of which are already underway. These upgrades are focused on enhancing both the playability of the course and the overall member and guest experience.

"Cedar Creek is a special place with a loyal membership, a proud history, and a golf course that deserves thoughtful investment," said Russ Bloom, President of Bloom Golf Management. "We are thrilled to be part of this community and honored to guide the next chapter of such a storied club."

Cedar Creek becomes the seventh golf course under Bloom Golf Management's growing portfolio. Five of these clubs are owned through similar capital investment partnerships, while two operate under third-party management agreements. The company remains committed to pursuing carefully chosen projects that align with its vision and values.

Bloom Golf Management would also like to extend a special thank you to Don Groft, Director of Business Development, for his role in identifying the Cedar Creek opportunity and navigating the investment process and deal execution. This marks the first project Don has been instrumental in adding, and the company is grateful to have his expertise and leadership on the team.

"Our improvement plan at Cedar Creek is designed to produce sustainable quality and long-term financial success for the club," added Bloom. "This project is a perfect reflection of our mission and what we strive to deliver at every property we serve."

Cedar Creek Golf Club will remain open throughout the improvement process, and members and guests can expect to see ongoing enhancements to the course and facilities in the coming months.

The right timing can make all the difference between a good golf trip and an unforgettable one. We have helped countless groups discover Hilton Head Island's magic, and we get the same question all the time: "When's the best time to visit?" The answer isn't as simple as picking one month because it's all about what you're looking for.

Spring (March - May): The Sweet Spot

Spring emerges as our top recommendation for most golfers, and here's why. Temperatures hover in the perfect sweet spot at low 60s to mid-70s, creating ideal conditions for those long days on the course. You'll wake up to crisp mornings that warm into comfortable afternoons, with the island bursting into bloom around you.

Course conditions during spring are simply spectacular. After recovering from winter, the turf is lush and pristine, offering the kind of playing surfaces that make every round memorable. What really sets spring apart is the manageable crowd levels. While you'll encounter other golfers, it's nothing compared to the summer rush, making tee time bookings easier and the pace of play more relaxed.

The cherry on top? April brings the RBC Heritage PGA Tournament, adding an electric atmosphere for golf enthusiasts who want to witness world-class professional golf alongside their own rounds.

Pro Tip: Book early spring dates for the perfect combination of ideal weather and lighter crowds.

Summer (June - August): Peak Energy, Peak Heat

Summer in Hilton Head means high 80s to low 90s with humidity that you'll definitely notice. But before you write off summer entirely, consider this: those afternoon showers that roll through actually provide welcome relief, cooling things down and creating some of the most dramatic skies you'll see.

Yes, it's peak tourist season, which means higher prices and busier courses. However, summer also brings an undeniable energy to the island. Festivals, concerts, and beach activities create a vibrant vacation atmosphere that many groups love. If your crew thrives on that lively, social vacation vibe, summer delivers in spades.

Booking Strategy: Summer demands advance planning. Book your tee times and accommodations early, and consider morning rounds to beat both the heat and the crowds.

Fall (September - November): The Golfer's Paradise

Ask any serious golfer when to visit Hilton Head, and they'll likely tell you fall. September through November offers what many consider the absolute best golf conditions of the year. Temperatures settle into the comfortable 70s and 80s with notably lower humidity and crystal-clear skies.

Here's what makes fall special for golfers: courses are in prime condition after summer maintenance and before winter overseeding begins. The turf is essentially flawless, and the weather creates perfect playing conditions day after day. Crowds thin out significantly after Labor Day, giving you more breathing room on the course and better availability for prime tee times.

September still offers warm water for post-round beach activities, while October and November provide that perfect fall golf weather that keeps you comfortable from first tee to 19th hole.

Insider Knowledge: While fall is technically hurricane season, severe storms rarely impact Hilton Head significantly, making it a reliable choice for golf trips.

Winter (December - February): The Hidden Gem

Don't overlook winter if you're seeking value and tranquility. Highs in the mid-50s to low 60s mean you'll need an extra layer for morning rounds, but sunny afternoons often warm up beautifully. Golf remains very playable, and the island takes on a peaceful, almost private feel.

Winter offers the quietest season with the most affordable rates, making it perfect for groups who prioritize budget-friendly trips and don't mind cooler temperatures. You'll practically have courses to yourself, creating an intimate golfing experience that's hard to find during peak seasons.

Value Play: Take advantage of winter's lower rates and abundant availability for the best deals of the year.

Our Booking Recommendations

We typically guide our clients toward spring and fall for the best overall experience. These seasons offer that sweet spot of excellent weather, prime course conditions, and manageable crowds that make for unforgettable golf vacations.

That said, every group is different. Corporate outings often prefer the energetic summer atmosphere despite the heat, while budget-conscious groups love winter's value proposition. Ladies' golf getaways frequently choose spring for the beautiful weather and gorgeous scenery.

Hilton Head delivers exceptional golf year-round, but timing your visit to match your group's priorities (whether that's perfect weather, vibrant atmosphere, or peaceful rounds) will elevate your entire experience.

Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort today announced the completion of an extensive multi-million dollar renovation of its acclaimed Ocean Point golf course, led by the Dye Designs Group (DDG) to modernize the original George Cobb layout. The course is now reopen for member and Resort guest play.

Since opening in 1964, Ocean Point Golf Links has long stood out as a premier seaside course, featuring five holes with unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean and celebrated for its small, well-bunkered greens and sweeping Lowcountry vistas. To deliver an elevated playing experience, every hole on the course was given a significant design upgrade. The result has dramatically improved the visual appeal and playing experience, further elevating its attraction for members of the Fripp Island Club and stay-and-play Resort guests.

The completed vision of the acclaimed mother-son architect team, Cynthia Dye McGarey and Matt McGarey involved the reshaping of more than 50 bunkers, including adding 11 new greenside bunkers. DDG also incorporated new fairway bunkers, added 5.5 acres of waste area, and added and or leveled multiple tee boxes and constructed native dunes to increase both play and visual appeal for members and Resort guests alike.

The final phase of the renovation will see more than 13,000 native plants added to the course - a testament to both the Resort's and DDG's commitment to sustainable course design, a key driver in the selection of DDG for the project.

The completion of the renovation marks another milestone for Seascape Hospitality Group since its purchase of the Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort in 2023.

"We are delighted to work with the world-renowned Dye Designs Group team to bring our shared vision for Ocean Point to life," says John Scappatura, Chief Operating Officer of Fripp Island Golf & Beach Resort. "The end result has exceeded our expectations and we are confident that our members and guests will enjoy this refreshed layout that offers a fun and rewarding experience through our beautiful Lowcountry surroundings."

"Ocean Point epitomizes the best of the Lowcountry golf, something my family knows well," says Matt McGarey, senior design associate, Dye Designs Group. "We enjoyed partnering with the Fripp Island Resort to bring about a more modern playing experience that capitalizes on the unique Lowcountry elements - all with an eye toward the intent of Mr. Cobb's original design."

Golf Course Services Inc., a leader in golf course construction and maintenance, served as construction partner on the project. Since its founding, Golf Course Services Inc. has constructed some of the finest resorts, public, private and municipal golf courses and facilities in the Southeast and collaborated with architects such as Tom Fazio, Jack Nicklaus, Rees Jones and Greg Norman.

Ocean Point was recently named one of the Best Classic Courses in South Carolina for 2024 by the members of the SC Golf Course Ratings Panel. The refreshed layout further capitalizes on the stunning coastline of the island, which was already named a top five golf course in South Carolina by GolfPass.

The Fripp Island Golf & Beach Club Resort is also home to the Davis Love III designed Ocean Creek course, host of the Big South Men's and Women's golf championships.

In April 1993, nine months before Caledonia Golf & Fish Club was set to open, Doc Lachicotte took a local reporter on a tour of the property.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" Lachicotte, who was part of the course's ownership group until his passing at the age of 95 in 2022, told the Sun News. "We want to keep it that way."

By the early 1990s, the joys of living in the Myrtle Beach area had become clear and land was being gobbled up, but Lachicotte and his friends wanted to preserve a tract of property they believed was the "finest piece of land left on the Grand Strand."

It was a desire, along with a booming golf industry, that led them to a largely unknown young architect named Mike Strantz.

When Caledonia opened on January 1, 1994, few people had heard of the 37-year-old Strantz, who had long worked for Tom Fazio, but his first solo design put him on the fast track to golf course architecture fame.

Playing through centuries old live oak trees and along Caledonia Creek, the course dazzled players with its Lowcountry charm and Strantz's boundless creativity.

Golf Digest ranked Caledonia among America's best new courses and buoyed by the success of his maiden layout, Strantz went on to design True Blue, Caledonia's sister course, and Tobacco Road, among others, before tragically passing away due to cancer in 2005.

The opening of Caledonia not only launched Strantz's career, but it also helped usher in a new era of Myrtle Beach golf courses, as the area became known for the quality and quantity of its offerings.

Caledonia was ranked among the nation's top 100 public layouts, an honor it has maintained through the years by never losing sight of the course's original goals.

"We really intend to spend a lot of money on beautification," Lachicotte told the Sun News. "This will be one of the prettiest courses around here."

Three decades later, the commitment to the property's beauty is as strong as ever. Just as important were Strantz's objectives as he designed the course.

"The goal really is to have somebody stand on the tee and be dazzled at how beautiful it is, but not make it so hard that it's miserable to be out there," he said in the spring of 1993.

In the three decades since the first tee shot was struck, more than a million golfers have been dazzled by Caledonia, whose commitment to providing a memorable experience is stronger than ever.

Golf aficionados traveling from Augusta, Ga., to Hilton Head Island, S.C., can fine-tune their games and enjoy countless other amenities at Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort.

For golf fans, the dawn of spring marks the beginning of the golf season.

The ball gets teed up with the granddaddy of them all, The Masters at Augusta National; then continues southeast to the coast and Hilton Head Island, S.C., for the player- and fan-favorite RBC Heritage. The world's best golfers rave not only about the comparisons between the tournaments and their venues, but also the contrasts between the two settings: The formal "tradition like no other" of Augusta National versus the more relaxed, family feel of Hilton Head Island.

During Heritage week, savvy golfers interested in not only watching the professionals, but also playing outstanding courses are surrounded by one of the game's most golf-rich regions. The South Carolina Lowcountry offers numerous memorable golfing experiences.

Located in the heart of Hilton Head Island, Palmetto Dunes Oceanfront Resort is where college stars such as Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson demonstrated their early prowess during the resort's longtime intercollegiate golf tournament played over two of its three outstanding courses designed by a trio of legends in golf course architecture: the renowned Robert Trent Jones Oceanfront Course, the Arthur Hills Course and the Fazio Course, designed by George Fazio and his nephew, Tom Fazio.

All three Palmetto Dunes layouts have been named South Carolina's "Golf Course of the Year." They are each distinctively different yet uniquely appealing - the Jones is the longest but also most wide-open; the Fazio features lagoons running through the course and Donald Ross-style elevated greens; and the Hills is arguably the most challenging of the trio.

Always on the cusp of golf technology, Palmetto Dunes upgraded its Robert Trent Jones practice range and learning center, becoming the southeast's first resort to introduce Toptracer technology in a covered driving range that allows guests to compete against friends, play virtual courses and receive instant shot feedback.

Embracing the state-of-the-art technology used during televised PGA Tour events to track the shots of the game's best players, while also providing ways for all types of golfers to have fun and improve, the Toptracer Range at Palmetto Dunes became an instant game-changer. High-speed cameras with sophisticated computer algorithms providing instantaneous information once considered exclusive is now accessible and enjoyable for all.

The addition of Toptracer Range continued Palmetto Dunes' already robust programming aimed at growing the sport, improving golfers' games, and attracting and developing new participants. Guests hit balls from underneath a sun- and rain-blocking awning in the Toptracer Range's 14 hitting bays while enjoying food and beverage service - and there is a VIP area for larger groups from eight to 10 players. The Toptracer Range quickly became so popular that Palmetto Dunes added lights so guests could continue to play golf and have fun after dark (seasonal hours).

But your trip from Augusta to Hilton Head doesn't have to be entirely about golf. With 2,000-acres of activities along three miles of Atlantic Ocean beach on one side and an Intracoastal Waterway marina on the other, little wonder why Palmetto Dunes has been named by Condé Nast as one of the "Top Resorts in the South."

For the racquet-sport enthusiasts, there is no more complete destination for anyone looking to play, practice, or improve their game than Palmetto Dunes - Hilton Head's premier tennis and pickleball resort. There are 17 clay tennis courts, four of which are lighted for night play. Our tennis center provides a vibrant schedule of activities and instructional programs all year, hosted by a full complement of professional instructors and players. Tennis doesn't get any better than at Palmetto Dunes.

For pickleball lovers, Palmetto Dunes is the perfect place to experience the fastest growing sport in America, Lowcountry style. The Palmetto Dunes Tennis & Pickleball Center features 24 dedicated pickleball courts, eight lighted for night play via the timer system, and one of the most comprehensive instructional programs on the east coast. It is a fun and simple game to pick up at any age, but can take a lifetime to master. Palmetto Dunes offers a variety of clinics and lessons for adults and juniors and is the only island tennis & pickleball center to serve up daily round robins.

Located inside Palmetto Dunes on the banks of the lagoon, Hilton Head Outfitters is a full-service sporting emporium that serves as a popular headquarters for adventure. Outfitters boasts the largest rental bike and electric bike fleet on the island - while strollers, tag-a-longs, kiddie carts, bikes with baby seats, adult three-wheelers, tandem bikes and beach joggers are also available - and delivers bikes for free for resort guests.

Directly across the street from Palmetto Dunes, Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina now features brand new luxury pontoon boat rentals. These top-quality Aloha Pontoon boats operating out of Shelter Cove Marina offers the perfect way for you to get out on the water with family and friends for an enjoyable day cruising the vast waterways of Hilton Head Island.

The official boat rental company at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina, Shelter Cove Marina Boat Rentals, is highlighted by its brand-new, luxury pontoon boats. The spacious Aloha Pontoon allows up to 12 people and features a 9-foot Sunbrella Bimini, Garmin GPS & depth finder for easy navigation, brand-new outboard Yamaha 150HP engine and Bluetooth speakers that have superior sound quality, determine your precise location and allow you to view pre-saved locations on your GPS.

The Sunbrella Bimini offers shade, sun deflection and - thanks to no sidewalls - constant airflow. Aloha Pontoons also provide high quality seating with cup holders, backrests and the soft padding will make you feel like you are floating across the water. Anchor down at Harbour Town's 18th hole to watch the RBC Heritage.

Everything you need to know about renting boats at Shelter Cove Marina can be found on the resort's FAQs page here.
Locals and visitors alike can enjoy Thursday nights this spring with Music & Taste on the Harbour - a Hilton Head Island seasonal tradition - at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina. The evening features favorite local bands, tasty food and drinks, and all the dancing under the stars you can do.

The exciting live-music attraction returns this spring on Thursdays from 6 - 9 p.m., at Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina's iconic Neptune Statue. Now in its 17th season, this pet-friendly outdoor concert series is headlined by a variety of popular local music performers every Thursday night.

Featured Shelter Cove Harbour & Marina restaurants will be set up around Neptune offering a variety of specially-priced light appetizers, wine and beer. Limited seating is provided, so guests are encouraged to bring their own chairs.

The event is free and open to the public, but please bring a canned good donation for the Deep Well Project, helping neighbors in need for 50 years. All events are weather permitting. Visit ShelterCoveHiltonHead.com/music-and-taste for more information.

For short-term and long-term accommodations, Palmetto Dunes offers the island's premier selection of vacation rentals from spacious homes and villas overlooking the harbour, lagoon, fairways or beach to oceanfront hotel rooms.

3's, the innovative new concept in golf entertainment that combines accessible Par-3 golf with cutting-edge hospitality, has relaunched with the completely refurbished "Grubhouse".

Last year, 8AM Golf, along with partner Justin Timberlake, invested in 3's with the intent of refining the popular and successful concept in Greenville, and replicating it in major metro areas across the United States.

Now, fresh on the heels of Timberlake and 8AM Golf teaming up with Tiger Woods to present T-Squared Social in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, JT and 8AM unveil the new look of 3's renovated hub: "The Grubhouse."

3's features a lighted, 12-hole par-3 golf course with adjacent practice areas and an 18-hole putting course, all in a relaxed and friendly environment. One loop around the course takes less than 90 minutes, leaving plenty of time to further unwind. Featuring a retro-cool vibe, The Grubhouse makes it easy to grab delicious comfort food, drinks and merchandise in a space designed to feel like home, including firepits, Adirondack chairs and music.

"The goal for 3's was to create a relaxed destination where you can come to play casual golf, grab a bite and a drink, hang out with family and friends, and meet folks," said Davis Sezna, founder of 3's. "We're trying to make golf easy, fun and affordable for everyone to enjoy and I think we're accomplishing that every day at 3's."

"Non-traditional golf experiences are bringing the game to new audiences," said Hoyt McGarity, president of 8AM Golf. "We feel that 3's represents the best of what this category has to offer and look forward to rolling out additional 3's destinations across the nation."

Legend Oaks Golf Club in Summerville, SC is much more than your typical daily fee facility. Although the golf course receives much of the spotlight, its tennis program is one of the best in the area, and its restaurant, Bistro One18, receives a lot of business from locals and other non-golfers. I think it's safe to say that Legend Oaks is truly a hidden gem!

Legend Oaks is located about thirty minutes from Charleston, off of scenic Highway 61. As you turn off the highway and approach the Antebellum-style clubhouse, the road is framed by centuries-old live oak trees. It's reminiscent of driving down Magnolia Lane at Augusta National, only without the security checks and raised eyebrows!

The Club has received its fair share of accolades for both golf and tennis. The Golf Course Owners Association voted Legend Oaks South Carolina Golf Course of the Year in 2010 and the Charleston Business Journal has named them one of the Top Three Lowcountry Courses. Their tennis program was recognized by the Southern Division of the USTA as the South Carolina Tennis Facility of the Year in 2012.

Legend Oaks offers golfers five sets of tees with yardages that stretch from 6,809 to a manageable 4,957 for the ladies, juniors, and seniors. I found the Blue Tees (6,063/70.5/124) provided a substantial challenge for someone playing the course for the first time, and still, let me leave with a little dignity!

Legend Oaks is built on the site of an antebellum rice plantation and has plenty of water hazards, sand traps, and wetland areas with deep, thick underbrush. Remember those centuries-old live oaks you saw on the way in? You'll find plenty more of them as you make your way around the layout only these are not there for aesthetics! You'll also see towering pines and a whole host of Lowcountry wildlife.

The front nine has a little bit of "target golf" to it and demands more control off the tee whereas the back nine is more wide open. The Diamond Zoysia greens were installed in 2014 and not only hold well-hit approach shots nicely they also provide a noticeably smooth putting surface.

As you play the course, you may get a Pete Dye or Jack Nicklaus vibe. That's because course architect Scott Pool worked for Dye for 10 years and did a lot of course shaping for Jack Nicklaus as well. Unlike Dye who liked to hide pot bunkers and other hazards whenever he could, Pool is upfront about the challenges you'll encounter. It's more of a brains-over-brawn philosophy at Legend Oaks or, as former owner Jim Chickarello used to say, "It's a shotmaker's course."

The golf course has several memorable holes; for me, they were Numbers 1, 6, 10,16, and 18.

The opening hole is a 362-yard par 4, dogleg left. If you can fly your tee shot over the fairway bunker on the left, you'll have a much shorter approach shot. Longball hitters should take note of the water just past the fairway bunker on the right. Success off the tee will leave a mid to short-iron approach shot that plays slightly downhill onto a large green. Although there are no bunkers around the green, the subtle undulations may get you. Nothing wrong with starting with a par!

Number 6 is a 480-yard par 5 that many players will be able to reach in two. Your layup and approach shots play significantly downhill and if you can hit your layup shot over the fairway bunker on the left, you may just catch the slope and roll all the way to the green. The green is small and is protected by water on the right and in the back if you fly it long. Although there are no bunkers around the green, there is a lot of mounding which can make for some interesting lies.

If you've never played the golf course before, the 10th hole can be notoriously intimidating. At 322 yards, length isn't the main concern although longball hitters should take note of the pond in front of the green. Playing your tee shot left of the water will leave a longer approach shot into the green but may save a golf ball or two. The green is very large and angled front left to back right. The right side is protected by a bunker in front as well as water and a marsh area. On Wednesdays and Thursdays, Legend Oaks does something interesting and flips the nines, so this will be your first hole of the day.

Number 16 is a long par 4 that plays 400 yards from the Blue Tees. The hole doglegs around a lake however it's more like a right turn than a dogleg! Longball hitters may be able to carry the lake off the tee, but for the rest of us, playing your tee shot left of the water will avoid the wet stuff but still leave a hybrid or long iron into the green.

The finishing hole is a straight-away par 5 with some interesting twists. Although it's only 451 yards from the Blue Tees, it plays longer and requires accuracy on your first two shots. The fairway opens up to the right of the fairway bunker, but your next shot may be blocked out by trees. Anything left of that bunker spells big trouble. If you can hit a straight drive over the bunker on the left you'll have the best angle into the green. It's clear sailing from about 140 yards out, once you get past the trees that line either side. The long, narrow green is probably the best-protected green on the golf course with bunkers in front and on either side.

Before your round, be sure to hit a few balls on the full-length driving range where you can swing away with every club in your bag. The practice green is mowed daily and will give you a feel for what you're about to encounter.

Whether you're new to the game or just need a tune-up, Legend Oaks offers an instructional program with an experienced staff of professionals who want to help you achieve your goals. Since no two golfers are alike, they use the latest in golf technology and instill the fundamentals of the game to help you succeed.

Legend Oaks is a semi-private golf and tennis facility. Everyone is welcome to play the golf course and enjoy a meal at Bistro One18. It's a great place to relax and unwind after a round or entertain business clients and associates. Bistro One18 isn't what you'd expect at a public golf course. Of course, they offer all of the traditional clubhouse foods - wings, sandwiches, and burgers - but they also offer some pretty impressive entrees. Choose from Chicken Marsala, Chicken Alfredo, Fish and Chips, and my favorite, Steak Frites. It's all good and you won't leave hungry!

For a daily-fee facility, Legend Oaks has a lot to offer. In addition to the 18-hole championship golf course, they offer a very robust tennis program as well as a very active swimming pool. For more information on becoming a member or to book your next round, give them a call at (843) 821-4077 or visit them online www.legendoaksgolf.com.
